About ACL:
Our organization is dedicated to amplifying children's literacy for Pre-K through 5th grade students. We aim to equip children with the skills they need to read confidently, support parents in fostering literacy at home and provide access to resources that promote a lifelong love of learning. By doing so, we can improve educational outcomes and ensure brighter futures for our children and communities.
Our Founder's Story:
My name is VaTrese Myrick, originally from Sussex County, Virginia. My journey as a parent has shown me the incredible impact that early reading can have on a child's life. During the challenges of COVID-19 pandemic, I experienced firsthand how difficult it was to keep my kids engaged in learning, especially as we adjusted to a big move from VA to Florida. Through it all, reading became our anchor - a way to learn and connect.
This experience has expired me to create Amplify Children's Literacy. I know how critical Child Literacy is for the future and I know that every child deserves a chance to reach greatness.
Together, we can amplify literacy and inspire bright futures - one book at a time.
